Acquisition Announcement: THE ART OF LIVING FOREVER by A.T. Rainach

Orbit is thrilled to announce the acquisition of The Art of Living Forever by debut author A.T. Rainach. This dark romantasy set in the 19th century follows two feuding gods as they attempt to win the heart of a young American woman. 

Aris, the immortal god of war, cannot believe his eyes: the reincarnated soul of his truest love, the one who literally died right in front of him, is shining through the body of Grace, a young American heiress who is desperately trying to escape her forced betrothal to a horrific English aristocrat. As Aris helps Grace flee England, trying (and failing) to ignore the burning passion reigniting steadily within him, he makes it his mission to discover how this particular human soul came to be reborn on Earth once more. But Aris isn’t the only one suddenly pursuing Grace’s affection—his brother Nox, the god of death, also sets his sights on her, reigniting a centuries old fraternal struggle for love and power. 

The Art of Living Forever publishes in ​November 2026 and the sequel publishes in 2027. 

A.T. has been telling stories since she could write. She holds a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing and is both a fiction author and a published poet with a love for lyrical language and dark, fantastical worlds. Off the page, she’s a lifelong barrel racer, horse trainer, and full-time wrangler of three feral children. In rare quiet moments, she’s probably reading, adding to her tattoo collection, listening to music, or playing guitar (she admits her enthusiasm exceeds her skill).
