Acquisition Announcement: REVENGE PIECE by Eman Quotah

We’re delighted to announce the acquisition of Revenge Piece, a new horror novel from Eman Quotah!

Based on the frame story of One Thousand and One Nights, Revenge Piece is a found-footage story about two performance-artist sisters, Zadie and Dani, who put on a nightly show implicating a powerful man in a string of disappearances of women across the city. The show unexpectedly becomes a must-see event catapulting the sisters into the public eye. When the man appears in the audience, Zadie incorporates him into the performance, and he starts to return night after night. As long as the man is in attendance the women of the city are safe, but at what cost to the sisters?

This atmospheric and intricately woven story is perfect for fans of Jennifer Givhan and Stephen Grahm Jones. Revenge Piece will be published in Winter 2028 on our Run For It list.

Eman Quotah is the author of The Night Is Not for You and Bride of the Sea, winner of the Arab American Book Award for Fiction. Her writing has appeared in the Washington Post, USA Today, Literary Hub, and other publications. She’s been awarded writing fellowships from MacDowell and Hedgebrook and grants from the Maryland State Arts Council and the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County.
