David Baldacci: Keeping the thrill alive

Twenty-nine novels, 110 million copies in print, four novels for children, film and television adaptations.

No question about it, David Baldacci is a best-selling author.

He’s popular enough that all the seats to Wednesday’s author luncheon for the Library Foundation for Sarasota County have sold out.

And while his books are thrillers — his latest, “The Escape,” features combat veteran and Army special agent John Puller — his speaking engagements “are all about having fun,” he said. “People will remember a serious story” if he adds some humor.
